Apple Harvest Season: Late August - October
Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard has been producing apples for nearly a century. Not only are the apples rich with flavor but so is the history. Plan a trip to Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard to enjoy fresh-picked apples, apple doughnuts, apple cider, and of course learn about our rich history. The U-Pick barn will be open starting AppleJack Weekend for apple picking. More information will be coming soon.
55th Annual AppleJack: September 16th & 17th
It's time to celebrate the harvest season with educational family fun, U-Pick apples, hayrack rides, delicious homemade Apple Cider Doughnuts, caramel apples, homemade apple pie, and other delicious treats! Join us for family fun with delicious treats, adventures on the Pollinator Playground, hayrack rides into the Orchard for U-Pick, and a vendor fair! The Kimmel Education Research Center will have activities and educational programming from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.

Pumpkin Harvest Festival: October
Our last fruit to be harvested in our U-Pick barn this season is pumpkins. They are ready just in time to be carved for Halloween. We have various types of pumpkins and we look forward to enjoying the harvest. Check back for more information.
Scarecrow Festival: October 14 - 30
Build your own scarecrow in the Kimmel Scarecrow Field. Registration is $25 and includes 2 tickets to the Hayrack Tour. A Hayrack Tour will be available on weekends to view the creativity of the scarecrow entries. Vote on your favorite. A Bring-Your-Own Screen Print Event will kick-off the festival on October 14th. Get the Scarecrow Festival logo on your shirt, bag, apron, or other item of your choosing.
