Women on the Wing: Pollinators & Produce: July 17th, 1:00pm-5:00pm

Join Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever of Nebraska along with Becoming an Outdoor Woman, Walton’s, and Kimmel Orchard for a fun afternoon of Pollinators & Produce! This social event welcomes participants to learn about the importance of pollinators and experience their role in our lives through hands-on experiences. Pollinator Play Days: July 19th & 20th, 9:00am-12:00pm

Come join Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard & the UNL Bee Lab to explore the wonderful world of pollinators and their role in food production!
- Learn what happens from flower to fruit.
- Explore the inside of honey bee hives.
- Learn how honey and other foods are extracted and processed.
- Become more familiar with fresh farm produce.

Blackberry Harvest Festival: Late July - Mid. August
Looking for the perfect snack? Starting in late July we will have blackberries available in the U-Pick barn. Getting outside and picking fruit is the perfect way to enjoy the last month of summer, and enjoy the history Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard has to offer.
Asian Pears Harvest Festival: Early September
Try our Asian Pears in early September. There are multiple varieties of Asian Pears we have to offer, and you can pick them all as a family in our U-Pick barn. Stay tuned for more information.
Apple Harvest Season: Late August - October
Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard has been producing apples for nearly a century. Not only are the apples rich with flavor but so is the history. Plan a trip to Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard to enjoy fresh-picked apples, apple doughnuts, apple cider, and of course learn about our rich history. The U-Pick barn will be open starting in late August for apple picking. More information will be coming soon.
54th Annual AppleJack: September 16-18, 2022
Join us at the 54th Annual AppleJack Festival in mid-September and enjoy picking your own apples in the U-Pick barn, or enjoy pre-picked apples. Stick around to also enjoy apple cider with some apple cider donuts, educational programs, endless adventures on the Pollinator Playground, and educational family fun!
Pumpkin Harvest Festival: October
Our last fruit to be harvested in our U-Pick barn this season is pumpkins. They are ready just in time to be carved for Halloween. We have a variety of different types of pumpkins, and look forward to enjoying the harvest. Check back for more information.

Strawberry Harvest Festival: Coming in 2023!
We are looking forward to our first U-Pick crop of the season. In late June, the U-Pick barn will be available for families to join us in harvesting. This is a great way for all ages to enjoy Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard, and learn about our history. Stay tuned as more information will be coming.
